Great Classical Liberal Suggests Answer To The Labor Question.

On April 26, 1912 in Washington, DC at the Memorial Continental Hall Mr. Samuel Gompers [President of the American Federation of Labor, who was one of the scheduled speakers at this event.] was brought in to meet ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. Among other things he said, “I try to do my duty.”

Abdu’l-Bahá replied, “If each one tried to do his duty there would be no Labor Question.”
